spicy margarita recipe

Plant Moderator

Ready to turn up the heat on your cocktail game? Say hello to our Spicy Margarita, where classic lime and smooth tequila get a fiery companion – jalapeño!

It’s the perfect excuse to use those jalapeño’s you’ve been growing in your garden all summer. Trust us, this zesty yet spicy concoction is all about bringing the flavour and fun to any party. Cheers!

here is what you need:

  • 3 oz tequila blanco
  • 3 oz lime juice
  • 2 oz orange juice
  • 1 ½ teaspoon honey
  • 2 slices fresh jalapeno seeds removed
  • Tajin (or salt)
  • Lime, cut into wedges to salt the rims of glasses and garnish
  • Cocktail shaker (optional)

step 1.

In a cocktail shaker combine all the ingredients EXCEPT the tajin and lime wedge and shake to combine. If you don’t have a cocktail shaker, you can mix these ingredients in a pitcher and stir to combine.

step 2.

Place the tajin or salt on a plate in a thin layer. Slice the lime and use a piece of lime to rub around the rim of the glass. Next, dip the glass in the tajin (or salt). It should stick to the lime juice on the rim.

step 3.

Fill each glass with ice and pour the margarita with one – two jalapeno slices in each glass. Garnish with a lime slice and enjoy!
